July 2009 press release: SMK owns 70% of the Mutoshi Joint Venture.  The key terms of the amended agreement include: Anvil’s interest decreased from 80% to 70% and Gecamines now has a 30% non-dilutable interest; Anvil will pay additional pas de porte of $14.4m, of which $7.2 must be paid within six months; Anvil will pay royalties to Gecamines of 2.5% gross turnover (total sales) calculated in accordance with the Mining Code (prior royalties were based on a 2% net smelter return); cash payments at a rate of $35/tonne of contained copper on additional copper reserves over and above 735,000 tonnes of copper; new feasibility study; Gecamines to appoint 3 members of the 8 person mangement team.
